Dress Code & Grooming

Danzart uniforms are purchased at Danzart Studio. We have a variety of uniform options. Street-wear is strictly prohibited.

Uniforms can be purchased 3-7pm Monday to Thursday, and 9-11.30am Saturday

Hair should be neat and tidy always, in a ponytail. Fringes are to be completely pulled back.

All dance shoes and tights can be purchased at Stretch-Out, Coorparoo or Sue’s Dance Shop Carina.

ALL CREATIVE DANCE, TINIES BALLET/JAZZ, PRE-PRIMARY BALLET AND PRE-PRIMARY JAZZ/ TAP CLASSES:

 

WHAT TO WEAR: 

  • Danzart Pink Leotard
  • Danzart Pink Ballet Skirt
  • Danzart Shorts can be worn over leotard for acrobatics and tap.
  • Camel tap shoes for tap.
  • Pink ballet Tights

 

BALLET CLASSES:

All ballet students must wear pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes. All ballet student must have their groomed into a bun with no fringe. Bun is to be covered with a hairnet.

 

Primary Ballet

  • Danzart Pink Leotard
  • Danzart Pink Ballet Skirt
  • Danzart Shorts can be worn over leotard for acrobatics and tap.
  • Camel tap shoes for tap.
  • Pink ballet tights
  • Pink ballet shoes

Grade 1 & 2 – Danzart Pale Blue leotard, pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.

Grade 3, 4 & 5 – Danzart Navy Leotard, pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.

Majors, Advanced/Senior/Open - A Black Leotard (style of student’s choice), pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes. Pointe Shoes when required.

 

 

JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY, LYRICAL, ACROBATICS, MUSICAL THEATRE, TAP AND HIP HOP CLASSES:

Dance Attire Only

Select from a variety of choices in Danzart Leotards, Danzart Crop tops Danzart Tank Tops, Dance Shorts and Danzart Tights.

Dance Shoe Requirements

  • JAZZ/MUSICAL THEATRE: Black Jazz shoes (slip on bootee)
  • CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL: Foot thongs/undies and or socks.
  • TAP: Pre-Primary to Intermediate Camel Tap Shoes
  • TAP: Pre-Senior and Senior Black Tap Shoes
  • HIP HOP: Converses style shoes, trainers or black jazz shoes.
  • ACROBATICS: Jazz shoes can be worn and bare feet is acceptable. (Please note jazz shoes are usually required for concert items.)
